Female fury in new horror film Dog Fight

Filming will start in Los Angeles this month on Dog Fight, a horror film which also includes action, crime and torture elements.

According to the official description, the plot "revolves around an underground fighting ring whose competitors are made up of women who have been kidnapped and 'broken' - essentially being turned into rabid dogs psychologically."

But, despite that potentially controversial storyline, you may be surprised to learn it's been scripted by two women and has two female producers.

Written by Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska (pictured top), the twin team behind Dead Hooker in a Trunk, it is being directed by Sean-Michael Argo, whose feature Fable: Teeth of Beasts screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

The film is produced by Tara Cardinal (pictured above right), who recently finished shooting action/fantasy flick Legend of the Red Reaper, and Devanny Pinn who, aside from appearances in Piranha 3D and the upcoming sci-fi thriller 15 Till Midnight,
