Just as they did last year, South Africa's National Film and Video Foundation (Nfvf) will once again take a delegation of films and filmmakers to the Cannes International Film Festival, which takes place later this month - from the 15th until the 26th of May. The goal here is to demonstrate that South African cinema can compete on the international stage, and show that stories by South African filmmakers can resonate in the international cinema market place.
