Former model for Burberry and Giorgio Armani and star of last year’s high-energy remake of Nicolas Winding Refn’s 1996 Danish crime thriller Pusher, Agyness Deyn joined director Bryn Higgins’ adaptation of the novel Electricity. A recent report in The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Deyn signed on to play the film’s lead role, a young woman battling epilepsy who leaves her small British hometown in search of her missing brother. Deyn joined a cast that includes Lenora Crichlow, Christian Cooke, Paul Anderson, Tom Georgeson and Alice Lowe. Screenwriter Joe Fisher adapted Ray Robinson’s novel for the movie.
