Cardinal Burns interview: Banksy told us he shops at B&Q, not Homebase

Sketch shows are a notoriously tricky genre to get right.

But two comedians doing it good and proper are Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns.

The pair's loud, lithe and sometimes gloriously daft show Cardinal Burns exploded onto E4 in 2012, after which it was nominated for Best Comedy at the BAFTAs and scooped Best Sketch Show at the British Comedy Awards.

A second series was swiftly commissioned, this time moving to Channel 4, and the first episode airs tonight (April 30).

Digital Spy met the duo at a pub in North London to talk about going mainstream, having genitals stuck to their faces and what's so good about bad gigs…

What did you make of the reaction to series one?

Dustin: "We were overjoyed. It's what you hope for. Obviously you put it out and you want people to laugh and to enjoy it."

Seb: "I think we were sort of surprised
