What to Watch This Week: The Age of Adaline, The Water Diviner

Before the deluge of summer blockbusters – superhero, sci-fi, and otherwise – hit theatres, this week’s film slate asks us to remember the meat and potatoes of cinema going.

Yes, we’re back in drama territory with two new releases this week.

Get your Harrison Ford fix with this weekend’s The Age of Adaline, a romance in the same vein as Tuck Everlastingor The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Throughout the film, Adaline (“Gossip Girl”’s Blake Lively), who discovers that she’s immortal, struggles with love and loss while she remains ageless. Canadian actor Anthony Ingruber, Harrison Ford, and Michiel Huisman also star.
