24th Annual Woods Hole Film Festival Announces Jury and Audience Award Winners

Read More: Woods Hole Film Festival Returns for 20th Anniversary, Kicks Off with Rossellini Animal ShortThe Woods Hole Film Festival has just announced its winners for narrative and documentary categories. The Cape Cod-based festival has contributed to the promotion of up-and-coming independent filmmakers and continued to do so in its 24th year.  Lukas Huffman's film, "When the Ocean Met the Sky," won the Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature, and was shot in the Canadian wilderness for just $70,000. SXSW entry "T Rex," by Zachary Canepari and Drea Cooper, won Best Narrative Documentary and tells the story of 17 year-old Detroit native Claressa "T-Rex" Shields, who fought for the gold medal when women's boxing became part of the Olympics for the first time in 2012. Ron Davis won Best of the Fest Audience Award for his documentary "Harry & Snowman," about Harry deLeyer, the international horse jumping...
