Screenwriters Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Lindsey Beer have booked another coveted genre gig. The pair will pen Gina Prince-Bythewood’s upcoming super hero pic “Silver & Black,” Deadline confirms. The “Spider-Man” spinoff sees war criminal hunter Silver Sable and former burglar Black Cat teaming up.
“Secret Life of Bees” writer-director Prince-Bythewood wrote the first draft of the script. Lisa Joy (“Westworld”) and Chris Yost (“Thor: Ragnarok”) also contributed to drafts.
The Sony title is scheduled to hit theaters February 8, 2019.
Robertson-Dworet co-wrote two highly anticipated big-budget pics, Alicia Vikander’s “Tomb Raider” reboot and Brie Larson-starrer “Captain Marvel.”
Beer’s slate includes “Chaos Walking,” a dystopian sci-fi toplined by “Star Wars’” Daisy Ridley, and monster mash-up “Godzilla vs. Kong.”
