Joy Behar finally offered a public apology to Vice President Mike Pence after suggesting that his religious faith was a sign of mental illness during an episode of “The View” last month. “I was raised to respect everyone’s religious faith and I fell short of that,” said Behar on Tuesday’s show. “I sincerely apologize for what I said.” During an appearance with Sean Hannity on Monday, Pence said that Behar had called him to offer a personal apology but he wanted a public statement of contrition.
