Director-producer McG[/link] is set to begin production on his third film at Netflix[/link], a science-fiction adventure film, titled “Rim of the World[/link],” Netflix announced Tuesday.
The movie is an epic adventure involving four misfit teenagers who become unlikely allies when their summer camp experience is cut short by an alien invasion. The teens must work together, overcome their fears and insecurities and work as a team as they attempt to save the world.
Production is set to begin in May.
McG is best known for directing action pictures, including “Charlie’s Angels” and its sequel, “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.” His other directing credits include “Terminator Salvation[/link]” and “3 Days to Kill[/link].”
The screenplay is by Zack Stentz[/link], whose other writing credits include “Thor[/link],” “X-Men: First Class[/link]” and “Agent Cody Banks[/link].”
