Netflix is definitely not a company that is going to let a good thing go. After the monster critical success of “Mudbound,” the streaming service wants to stay in the Dee Rees business, and it looks like they’re going to do just that.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Netflix has signed on to distribute the new film from Academy Award-nominee Dee Rees, titled “The Last Thing He Wanted.” The film, based on the Joan Didion novel of the same name, follows a reporter who quits her job at The Washington Post to care for her father.
