A trending "Westworld" actress, a TV reunion, and the first look at the stars of Quentin Tarantino's new movie were just a few topics that had IMDb's editors buzzing this past week.
Dutch actress Katja Herbers, who plays Emily in science-fiction Western TV series "Westworld," ranked at No. 13 on IMDb's STARmeter for the week - the highest charting of her career. It followed a pivotal role in some crucial scenes of the Season 2 finale.
This week, Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson revealed they will be competing on Nickelodeon's "All New Double Dare," a reboot of a Gen-X kid classic for the millennial set. The reunion of the "Kenan & Kel" stars will mark a return to the network that launched their careers more than 20 years ago.
One of the coolest photos to hit the desks of IMDb's editors this week was the first shot from the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino's ninth feature film, which is set in 1969 Los Angeles. The photo provides a first look at Leonardo DiCaprio as former Western TV star Rick Dalton and Brad Pitt as his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth.
On the trailer front, a double dose of out-there previews debuted this week: Nicolas Cage going fully unhinged in the nightmarish Mandy, and Assassination Nation, which reveals the murderous side of a small town when a hacker exposes all its online secrets. Both screened at this year's Sundance Film Festival and generated major buzz. Audiences will finally get to see both movies when they are released in September.
