It sounds like kind of an odd name for a Western series but Strange Empire is a series about three women that have lost their men and are trying their best to survive. The series takes place along the Alberta/Montana border and is about the need to do whatever it takes to make sure that they see one day after the next. Eventually the series was picked up in the USA and given a longer title, Strange Empire: Rise of the Women. To be honest that sounds a little condescending, as though the show needed something to really describe what
