“I miss seeing Ricky host the Globes!” That’s how a whopping 89% of Gold Derby readers voted in our recent poll that asked whether four-time Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais should return to host the 2019 ceremony. It’s been three years since Gervais last graced the stage, as NBC’s late-night stars Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers hosted in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Rounding out the results of our poll, 6% of readers voted “Maybe — I’ll have to think about it more” while 5% of haters said “No — Ricky was way too mean.”
