Netflix To Grow New York City Footprint With Production Hub, Expanded Corporate HQ

Netflix is massively expanding its New York City footprint.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced in tandem with the streaming giant today that Netflix will expand its existing New York City corporate headquarters to accommodate 127 additional top executive jobs by the year 2024, in realms like content, marketing, and production. The offices, in New York's Flatiron District, will comprise 100,000 square feet. Currently, Netflix counts 32 employees based in New York.

Additionally, Netflix will open up a new Brooklyn-based production hub comprising six sound stages and an additional 161,000 square feet of studio space that the company says will generate thousands of production crew jobs over the next five years. Past New York-based Netflix productions include Orange Is The New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and She’s Gotta Have It.
