Five female “Saturday Night Live” hosts have been included on the 2019 Emmy ballot for their work this past season, up from the four that NBC previously announced. The lone surprise is Sandra Oh, who hosted the March 30 episode. It’s possible NBC made adjustments before the entry deadline or that Oh was submitted by her personal reps. While a whopping 11 men contend for guest acting on the Emmy ballot, there were also way more male hosts (14) throughout Season 44 than female hosts (seven), which helps explain the gender lopsidedness.
