‘The Walking Dead’ Star Austin Abrams Joins Lili Reinhart’s ‘Chemical Hearts’ at Amazon

Austin Abrams has landed the lead role in “Chemical Hearts,” which “Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart is starring in and executive producing at Amazon Studios, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Abrams, who is a young actor known for roles in “The Walking Dead” and for the upcoming HBO drama “Euphoria,” will play the lead part of 17-year-old Henry Page in the film, which is based on the novel “Our Chemical Hearts” by Krystal Sutherland. Richard Tanne is writing and directing the film. Here’s the synopsis:

17-year-old Henry Page (Abrams) has never been in love. He fancies himself a romantic, but the once in a lifetime kind of love that he’s been hoping for just hasn’t been in the cards for him–at least not yet. Instead, he’s been happy to focus all of his attention on finally becoming the editor of his high school newspaper.
