Box-Office Weekend: Spider-Man Repeats on Top!

This week’s box-office weekend was essentially a repeat of last week, at least for the first two spots, as both Sony’s Spider-Man: Far from Home and Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 4 held firm in the first and second spots of the top ten respectively. Spider-Man: Far from Home added $45.3 million over the weekend to bring its two-week domestic total to $274.5 million. Meanwhile, Toy Story 4 tossed another $20.7 million into its coffers to give the animated film a domestic four-week tally of $346.4 million.

Two new films to the top ten finished in third and fourth place respectively. The horror film Crawl took in $12 million, laying claim to third place while the comedy Stuber earned $8 million and the bragging rights to fourth place in this week’s top ten. In its third week of release, the Beatles fable Yesterday dropped from third to fifth place with $6.8 million over the weekend,
