Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Develop Schoolteacher Dramedy ‘Mr. Corman’ at Apple

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to write, direct, executive produce and star on “Mr. Corman,” a dramedy series in development at Apple TV+, an individual with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap.

The show, which hails from A24 and Gordon-Levitt’s HitRECord banner, follows the life of a public schoolteacher (Gordon-Levitt) in California’s San Fernando Valley.

Apple declined TheWrap’s request for comment.

Apple’s ad-free streaming video on-demand (Svod) service Apple TV+ will debut this fall with Ronald D. Moore’s “For All Mankind,” Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston-led drama “The Morning Show” and Emily Dickinson comedy “Dickinson,” starring Hailee Steinfeld. We expect to learn more details about the platform — including its price and launch date — at an Apple event set for Sept. 10.
