When Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers premiered in 1993, viewers were introduced to the first team of multicolored heroes fighting to protect the world. In the 30 years that followed, fans were introduced to numerous Power Rangers teams, carrying on the legacy set by the original Mighty Morphin' team. However, as the series went on, more lore was developed for the in-universe history of the Rangers, and it became more evident that the Mighty Morphin' team were not the first rangers.
