Although Rey Skywalker's adoption of the last name Skywalker in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was (and remains) controversial, it's clear that she's canonically a Skywalkerand she will almost certainly be Star Wars' very last. The sequel trilogy was met with considerable criticism.
