Phuong and Phuong, a boy and a girl sharing the same name, attend their senior year at an elite middle school in Hanoi. Splitting their time between school and family in hopes of improving their status, Phuong finds solace in the understanding presence of her homonymous classmate, who also faces the same struggles. Despite ambition driving her away from his company, Phuong will finally make the brave decision to break away from her mother’s reach, preventing her partner from committing a tragic gesture.
