
'Downton Abbey 3' Movie Update: Producer Teases New Details, Reveals Where They Are in Production Process!

There’s a brand new update about the Downton Abbey movie, which will be the third in the franchise!
It was originally a TV show that aired for 5 seasons, and now has two other movies in the collection.

Gareth Neame, a producer for the franchise, shared that the film is “charming, and funny… a real love letter to all those characters.”
He then told TV Line, “It has a big new principal plot, but actually is chockablock with character, with their individual stories, with romance and with comedy. It’s a real spectacle, and I think the fans, hopefully, will really enjoy it.”
He then revealed where they are in the production process: “We’re just about finished editing it.”
As of right now, Focus Features plans to release the film on September 12, 2025.
