"Mr Baseball" Bob Uecker Passes Away at 90

Major League star “Mr. Baseball” Bob Uecker died at the age of 90 on Thursday, Jan. 16 (per the Milwaukee Brewers X account). The Major League Baseball player, film, and TV star was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer back in 2023, which he’d been battling in private. Unfortunately, though, the Hall of Fame broadcaster for the Brewers finally succumbed to the disease today, according to his family, who made the following statement (via NBC News):

Most modern-day movie fans will remember Uecker for his incomparable performance as the hilarious, straight-shooting broadcaster for the Cleveland Indians, Harry Doyle, in the must-see comedy Major League (1989) and its less memorable sequels. However, Uecker also starred in the ABC sitcom Mr. Belvedere, which ran for six seasons (1985-1990), but his road to fame started humbly...
