The Boruto series has been a massive letdown for many Naruto fans and for all valid reasons. While it certainly did have some moments where it shone decently, it was just a very few! The major issue it has is that the show’s been dragged down by a ton of filler episodes that don’t really add much to the story.

And apparently, that’s exactly why it went on an indefinite hiatus! It’s a pretty weak excuse, but it’s still had a significant impact on the internal working environment for the animators.

In fact, there are also people who believe that there was no reason to drag the original Naruto series into Boruto, as Naruto had already concluded its story arc quite perfectly. Harsh, maybe, but there are some solid reasons behind this thinking.
