Riff Raff’s ending leaves the viewers with more questions than answers. [Spoiler Alert] The story was all about two, as the film’s title suggests, riff-raff fathers, Vincent (Ed Harris) and Leftie Hannigan (Bill Murray), who, back in the day, were partners in crime and worked as hired guns for some influential families in America. Now, by comparing Vincent’s past and present life, the film highlights quite an interesting insight into how a person’s profession shapes his character. For example, Vincent was quite a bad husband and an even worse father when he was married to Ruth and had a son named Rocco. However, later in life, when Vincent decided to part ways with Leftie and leave the world of crime behind, he changed.
