The video game adaptation led by Jack Black added another $80 million to its domestic box office total this weekend, and it now sits at $280 million at the domestic box office. Pair that with $269 million internationally, and the film has earned just over $550 million worldwide, making it the second-highest-grossing movie of the year. This $280 million at the domestic box office is enough to make Minecraft one of the top 25 highest-grossing Warner Bros. movies ever, sitting at #24 at the time of writing after recently passing The Hangover.
