This year marks the 25th anniversary of Scream 3lead character Dewey Riley — played by David Arquette — shooting Ghostface in the head and killing him once and for all. That is, until a pair of hooligans took on the mask for Scream 4 years later. The fourth installment brought Arquette back as Dewey, as did another Scream in the years following, until the fan-favorite ex-deputy was finally killed by a more recent iteration of the infamous Ghostface. Or was he? Deadline has confirmed that Arquette will return to star in Scream 7, due to release in 2026, and MovieWeb recently caught up with the longtime actor to learn more about his experiences in the films over the years — and what he thinks about Kevin Williamson taking the reins as director of the upcoming installment.
