Euron Greyjoy was perhaps the most disappointing character in Game of Thrones. Not only were fans upset with his storyline, but even George R.R. Martin and Pilou Asbæk himself expressed dismay. It’s frustrating, especially for readers who love the villain and his evil ways.
Euron is way more wicked in the novels than in the show, and we can anticipate his more brutal and unremitting nature in The Winds of Winter. Martin already teased us with his upcoming plot in the few preview chapters he released a couple of years back.
