Created by John Shiban and John Orloff, Apple TV+’s war drama miniseries Masters of the Air, starring Austin Butler, Callum Turner, and Anthony Boyle, received positive to mixed reviews from critics and audiences upon release. Based on Donald L. Miller’s book of the same name, the story follows the actions of the 100th Bomb Group during WWII.

Critics at the time shared that Masters of the Air is ‘an absolutely fantastic television’ that goes on to depict the experience of pilots during World War II. Even though it received a positive to mixed response, audiences were concerned about the accuracy of the story and noted that the story had omitted a lot of parts from the actual story of the 100th.
