Netflix has found a new hit on its hands. Just a matter of days after its premiere, the streamer's newest series, Forever, has gotten a very exciting update on its future.
On Wednesday, it was announced by Netflix that Forever has been officially renewed for Season 2. The news comes about a week after the show debuted on Netflix on May 8. It was an instant hit with viewers, scoring a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 96%. Audiences were in total agreement, as the audience score is just as high at 95%.
Based on the classic Judy Blume novel, Forever was created by Mara Brock Akil (Moesha). The series focuses on the budding relationship between Black teens Keisha (Lovie Simone) and Justin (Michael Cooper Jr.) in the year 2018.
