James Franco-starring ‘Hey Joe’ secures North America distribution
Exclusive: Glass House Distribution has acquired North American rights to Hey Joe, starring James Franco.
The deal was finalised at the Marché du Film in Cannes with Italy’s Vision Distribution.
Hey Joe is directed by Italian filmmaker Claudio Giovannesi, who won the Silver Bear for best screenplay for Fiore at the 2019 Berlinale.
It tells the story an American Second World War veteran, played by Franco, who returns to Naples decades later to reconnect with a son he never knew he had—only to discover the young man is now entangled in the criminal underworld.
