Best B&W Films of the 80s
From the 70s onward, with the vast majority of films being shot in color, it has become an artistic and/or stylistic choice to present a film in black and white. More often today it is used to pay homage to films of a bygone era and invoke a sense of nostalgia, but it can also be used to help create a stark, emotionless, unforgiving world onscreen. Best American Remake of a Non-English Movie
An American remake of a great foreign language film into an English version makes a lot of sense. Sharing a great story with as wide an audience as possible is always a good idea. These remakes are often done with the full resources of Hollywood with bigger stars and larger budgets. Despite this, these adaptations face the same issues that most sequels and remakes have when compared to the original. Which of these American remakes* is by comparison the most worthy of the foreign non-English language original? * IMDb rated 6.0+ (as of July 2017) Take the companion poll: Worst American Remake Non-English Movie Discuss the topic here.

I Would Walk 500 Miles and I Would Walk 500 More...
This is the 500th poll I have created to be published on IMDb. This is a milestone that no one else has reached. I hope you have enjoyed taking my polls as much as I have enjoyed making them. The Proclaimers song "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" was prominently featured in the '90s dramedy Benny and Joon after actress Mary Stuart Masterson requested it be included in the film. The song refers to the challenging task of walking 1,000 miles (500 + 500) just in order to be with your love. Movies can be great showcases of grand gestures performed to express love between characters. Which of these ambitious acts would you most like to see your loved one do for you? Which would melt your heart and cause you to love them forever? Discuss the list here
