Whether they've already debuted at Venice, Telluride or Harvey Weinstein's movie grotto (face it, he must have one) these are the films that have to be seen at Toronto to consider your attendance a success. The tragedy is the screenings can sometimes be scheduled at the same time (don't ask us why) so sometimes seeing them all is not possible...but here's the list. One of the great things about Toronto, however, is the UN-Anticipated films, which are the surprises that often end up making the entire festival worthwhile. by Keith Simanton

Do We Need a New New Hollywood?
In the 1960s, Hollywood relied on expensive movies that entertained mass audiences in order to assert itself against a Golden Television Era and the threat of decreasing revenues. This lead, as it was perceived to some extent, to a creative downfall. However, the reaction was eventually a more realistic and free-spirited New Hollywood movement, in which the directors largely controlled the creative process. Today, there is a similar situation - or is there? And if so: Do we Need a New New Hollywood? Discuss here
Powerful Movie Scenes With Minimal Dialogue
As Norma Desmond once said, "We didn't need dialogue. We had faces." Though she may have meant this in a different context, we understood the subtext - sometimes, the most powerful moments in a film can be conceived without any dialogue at all. We often associate powerful movie scenes with some intense action or an intense exchange of words. However, these scenes had little to no dialogue and still resonated with us for being as iconic as they were silent. By the end, you may have felt emotionally drained or inexplicably moved, but the catch is that such was achieved without the primary usage of dialogue. So which of these powerful movie scenes, that had little to no dialogue, resonated with you the most? (Please note: TV shows, silent movies or scenes that are montages, like the introduction to Up (2009), though beloved by many, will be excluded from this list.) After voting, SPOILER: you may convey your thoughts here. Also vote for: MORE Powerful Movie Scenes With Minimal Dialogue
