Best 'Picaresque' Movie
The picaresque novel is a literary genre that can be summed up as "fictional autobiography" (or fictionalized). It depicts the adventures of a hero (generally a sympathetic outsider) whose fate primarily depends on his own wits but also on various encounters and strikes of luck, sometimes bad. Told in first person, there's no real plot, rather a series of disconnected episodes since the 'picaro' can't maintain a social status or hold a job for a long time. There's little character development personality-wise, as the essence of the "picaro" is to remain a picaro, it's the world around him that changes and its depiction always carries an element of satire that makes the story captivating and relevant. All the following movies present at least some, if not all, diverse characteristics of the 'picaresque' genre. Which of the following 'picaresque' movies is your favorite? After voting, you may discuss the list here

Best Animated Nativity Film From the Animal’s Point of View
In both of James and my own reviews of The Star (2017), it has been noted that this was not the first time a film was made telling the Nativity Story through the eyes of the animals or a story about the donkey that Mary rode on into Bethlehem. Which one, out of this handful of films, is the best? Talk about the list here.
Favourite Fictional WWII Film Made After the War?
I am big into studying World War II, and I love watching movies based on its events. One thing I have noticed is that most WWII movies are basically biographical - it chronicles a real event, though it may have some historical inaccuracies for one reason or another. But I was thinking it would be interesting to compile a list where the mission(s) in the films are fake and the films are allegories, not biographical/documentary-esque.
