Poll: Favorite Film Based on an E.M. Forster Novel?

E.M. Forster was a British writer working in the early- to mid-1900s who specialized in stories of the hypocrisy of the class system. The five big-screen films made from his books were nominated for 29 Oscars, including three for Best Picture, and they won a total of eight. All five of those adaptations were released between 1984 and 1992. Forster began to be known for his novels being made into "Merchant-Ivory films", though only three of them were actually produced, written and directed by Merchant-Ivory. A Passage to India (1984) was the last film of the king of British epics, David Lean. Which film made from an E.M. Forster novel is your favorite? Discuss the list here
