Tense Movie Moments

Alfred Hitchcock once explained perfectly the difference between surprise and suspense. When a bomb under a table goes off, that's surprise. When we know the bomb is under the table but not when it will go off, that is suspense. For these moments in film, we found ourselves in a state of sheer tense and anticipation, as we relentlessly bit our nails nervous of what may ensue. The culmination of the event was overshadowed by its uneasy build up to it. There are quite a few, so this list has been narrowed down mostly by having some of our users here at IMDb pick their favorites. Which of these memorably tense moments in a film had you holding your breath the most? After voting, you may discuss the poll here.

Best American Non-English Movie Remake

An American remake of a great foreign language film into an English version makes a lot of sense. Sharing a great story with as wide an audience as possible is always a good idea. These remakes are often done with the full resources of Hollywood with bigger stars and larger budgets. Despite this, these adaptations face the same issues that most sequels and remakes have when compared to the original. Which American remake is the most worthy of its original foreign and non-English language brethren? Discuss the topic here.

Western with the Greatest Gun Fights?

I've always enjoyed a good western, even though the genre is rather minute nowadays after a roaring fifties-and-sixties run. There are still good westerns being made today, such as The Good the Bad the Weird (2008), though it is not on IMDb's Top 250, but there are eight westerns on said list, so I'm asking you - Which one has the best gun fights? Why? Because what western is complete without one? I'm using the top twenty of the IMDb Top 1000 which are listed as western. http://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000088/nest/265620915?d=265620915
