Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the most talented and blessed method actors. The first time he was presented as an Oscar®-nominee, he was 19 years old and nominated for best supporting actor in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993). From then on, Leonardo DiCaprio has been nominated four times as lead actor and one time as producer of The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), in which he also starred as the lead character. In 2020, the Irish Times took up the daunting task of compiling an all-time list of the best Irish film actors. They factored questions of star wattage, career longevity, national identity and weighted performance in film over television and theater.
