Favorite Film Based on an E.M. Forster Novel?
E.M. Forster was a British writer working in the early- to mid-1900s who specialized in stories of the hypocrisy of the class system. The five big-screen films made from his books were nominated for 29 Oscars, including three for Best Picture, and they won a total of eight. All five of those adaptations were released between 1984 and 1992. Forster began to be known for his novels being made into "Merchant-Ivory films", though only three of them were actually produced, written and directed by Merchant-Ivory. The Clash of Time Eras
The Outer Limits (1963) – rated 8.2/10 by IMDb – is a remarkable Sci-Fi television series that is often compared to the legendary fantasy series The Twilight Zone (1959) - rated 9/10 by IMDb - but with more emphasis on science fiction. In the episode Soldier (1964) – rated 8/10 by IMDb – a soldier from the far future (Michael Ansara) is accidentally teleported back to the present time. Then, a second soldier from the future materializes and the two warriors transform the present time into their battlefield (does this plot sound familiar?). Here follows a list of movies and TV episodes where Time Eras clash, past with present, present with future. For example, when a dinosaur is found in our Present Era or a caveman is thawed from a block of ice. Which title deserves the wow-factor the most? Discuss Here in the IMDb Community Forums

Craziest Feature-Length Terry Gilliam Film?
For a poll, my homies. That is a bit redundant, I know, but he does have some totally bizarre films and less bizarre films. This also does not mean that I am asking for his best, but his craziest. Who knows, his craziest may be his worst! To make this difficult for you and easy for me, I decided to just list his entire filmography, what with it being only twelve films. Enjoy! Pride Week: Most LGBT-Proud Film
To celebrate Pride Week, which, depending on the country and city, is held in June or the first week of July, which of the films below do you think best embodies the spirit of LGBT Pride? After voting, discuss here. To view or vote in Part 2 of this poll, go here. To vote in other Pride polls, go here. If you're interested in a bit of background: As the 1995 documentary, The Celluloid Closet, illustrates, for a long time in cinema, most LGBT characters were portrayed to evoke laughter, pity, or fear. Movies like those, whether in early cinema or later (as in Basic Instinct), are obviously not represented in this poll. Relatively early on, there were screenwriters, such as Gore Vidal (Ben-Hur) and Stewart Stern (Rebel Without a Cause), who did write in positive messages but they had to be so subtle, or be left on the editing room floor, that the films, although they should be appreciated for widening the lens, don't really qualify as proud. Cinema evolved as society did and more realistic and diverse LGBT characters appeared on screen. All of these films don't necessarily have perfect messages but are noteworthy in some way; which of them do you think best captures the spirit of LGBT Pride?
