Most Prolific Actress Oscar Has Ever Seen
Kevin Bacon once claimed to have worked with everyone in Hollywood or someone they had worked with after his first thirty films. His comment was the catalyst for the creation of the pop culture game, "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon". Bess Flowers never made such a boast, but could have easily made the claim in her day. Flowers was known as the "Queen of Hollywood Extras" appearing in over eight hundred and fifty movies plus hundreds of TV episodes and short films too. She holds the record for most feature film appearances by an actor, as well as, both the records for most appearances in an Oscar-nominated title at one hundred and seventy-three, and most appearances in an Oscar-nominated Best Picture at twenty-six. So frequent were her appearances, diehard film fans would make a game of spotting her in movies.
