In November of this year the German people will celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall 30 years ago. The "Cold War" was officially dead and the Soviet Union collapsed a scant two years later. The period began shortly after WWII when multimillionaire financier and adviser to president to Harry S. Truman, Bernard Baruch, coined the term “Cold War” to describe the increasingly chilly relations between two of World War Two allies, the United States and the Soviet Union. While not a household name, actor, producer and director Norman Lloyd who was part of the original company of the Orson Welles-John Houseman founded Mercury Theatre, has just recently passed this May 11, 2021. Later on he would act for and then produce TV in collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock. However he will probably be best known in his later years as Dr. Auschlander in TV's acclaimed medical drama.
