Now that Fargo (2014) is running in its first season, Hannibal (2013) is in its second, and pilots/TV series have been ordered for 12 Monkeys (2015) and The Truman Show, which other 1990s movie classic (from the IMDb Top 250) do you most want to see as a TV series? Filmsite.org, who was polite enough to mention that the IMDb, Boxoffice.com, Boxofficemojo.com, and The-numbers.com in their intro to ALL-TIME TOP 100 FILMS (Domestic Gross, Inflation-Adjusted), said, as of January 15, 2019, these were the top 35 films for the USA domestic box office. These are the real Hollywood box office blockbusters, not the lists that only use today’s actuals and forget to adjust the box office for ticket inflation for the older films, aka, count the number of tickets sold. However there is one big flaw in this list and that is many of the films have been released more than once. In fact, one originally flopped, and later found its true audience in a re-release in the 1950s and 1960s. With that being said, it still does not take away from the accomplishments of those that had only one release and still made the list. Which one of these films is your favorite? Besides being the name of a shoe company, Nike is the Greek goddess of Victory, Speed and Strength (the Greek valued the last two in that order). She awarded the Laurel wreath of victory to winners in sports contests and in battle. When it came to war, she was Zeus’ chariot driver. She is the only winged Greek goddess. Her symbol is the same symbol that the shoe company uses. It represents her wings. Which of these 6.9 or better films that represents one of her attributes (contest or war victory, and contests of speed, and strength) would she give her award, the Laurel Wreath of Victory, to? We all know some great movies are made from the books (or stories), but do we know are they so great in terms of the sources from which they were adapted? These films breathed new life into these previously made stories and brought home the Academy Award for Best Writing Adapted Screenplay for its excellent execution. The writers of these films drew their inspiration from a previously published source, whether it being a novel, play, short story or even another film. This would automatically render sequels adaptations by this standard, seeing as they continue the story of which was based on the previously adapted material.
