Obscure, Surreal and Head-Scratching Movie Quotes
In general, the measure of a good movie quote is how long it sticks in your mind. Some achieve it by being repeated (catchphrases, arc quotes...) and others are delivered only once but are so puzzling that you keep repeating them over and over. They're not necessarily meant to convey obscure or surreal meanings, sometimes they're just so strange and nonsensical that they almost have a ring to it. This poll is about quotes that don't make sense when you first hear them but sound so attractive to the ear even if they make you go "huh?" Read each quote -if you know the film, you'll probably agree; if you don't, it's even better. Which of these head-scratching quotes, quick exchanges or dialogues is your favorite? A poll vote without a discussion here is like a soup without a mustache!

Top 35 "Simpsons" movie-referencing quotes ...
Just as we, IMDb users, talk about movies every once in a while, so did most Simpsons' characters... and for our greatest delight. Here is a compilation of 35 quotes from the most quotable show of all-time, all of them referencing a film (well, sometimes, it's more about the book or the titular character, but I couldn't resist!). Some are funny in a clever way, some are hilariously nonsensical, some are so obscure it can takes years to get them...from the cane of "Citizen Kane" to Lionel Hutz' suit against "The Neverending Story" for false advertizing, from Homer sending a fan-letter to "Die Hard" to Bart's friends strangely enthusiastic for sneaking into "Barton Fink", which of these quotes 'd'oh!' you think is the funniest? Now, fasten your seatblets, this is going to be a bumpy, Godzilla-related, night! Discuss here
Iconic Quotes... on a First-Name Basis!
It's not unusual for movie dialogues involving family members, friends, old acquaintances or romantic couples to have a first name inserted in it, as if it had or added an effect of its own, like emphasizing the intimacy between the two characters, their complicity or whatever bond one of them wishes to create (not always with the best intentions). Which of these movie quotes featuring the interlocutor's first name is your personal favorite? Now, you know how to vote, don't you, Steve? Well after that, you just discuss it, Sam. Discuss the list here... ... and then forget it, Jake.
