Top 35 "Simpsons" movie-referencing quotes ...

Just as we, IMDb users, talk about movies every once in a while, so did most Simpsons' characters... and for our greatest delight. Here is a compilation of 35 quotes from the most quotable show of all-time, all of them referencing a film (well, sometimes, it's more about the book or the titular character, but I couldn't resist!). Some are funny in a clever way, some are hilariously nonsensical, some are so obscure it can takes years to get them...from the cane of "Citizen Kane" to Lionel Hutz' suit against "The Neverending Story" for false advertizing, from Homer sending a fan-letter to "Die Hard" to Bart's friends strangely enthusiastic for sneaking into "Barton Fink", which of these quotes 'd'oh!' you think is the funniest? Westerns That Aren't Westerns

The definitions of abstract concepts like genres can be notoriously hard to pin down, so, rather than leave everybody to fight amongst themselves about what exactly a "western" or a "thriller" is, IMDb has thoughtfully provided us with official definitions on their help page. What is their definition of "Western"? Read on: Should contain numerous scenes and/or a narrative where the portrayal is similar to that of frontier life in the American West during 1600s to contemporary times. Objective. In other words, the basic criteria for being a Western is based on time and place: the American West in the frontier era. This is easy enough to apply to things like The Searchers (1956) or Gunsmoke (1955-1975), titles that fit neatly within those parameters. But what about those movies and TV shows that happen to meet some, but not all, of the criteria? What about the pieces of media that only vaguely, kinda sorta fit the bill? Not one single title on this list is officially recognized as a "Western" by IMDb. Yet, every last one of them has some significant connection to the genre. The question is, which of these films/TV series do you think is the best example of a Western... that's not a Western? After voting, please discuss here. Police-Themed Movie Series

For the sake of thrills, drama or comic relief, many serial police-themed movies (at least three movies) became instant classics that never let their audience down... although some of them showed some signs of faltering down near the end. So, in the name of the law, you're not under arrest but you have the right to remain silent while answering the following question: Which of these cinematic police-themed series is your favorite? Top 25 classic 'written' movie quotes ...

Cinema could do for many years without words spoken, at a time where the notion of 'memorable quote' barely existed. Even though times have changed, some quotes managed to penetrate collective memories without the need to be uttered by a character, and for that achievement, I wanted to ask ...which of these 'written' movies' quotes, would you say, is the most classic?
