AFI's Unlisted Hollywood Male Legends
A few years ago, the American Film Institute unveiled its Top 25 actors of the 20th century, male legends who graced the silver screen during Hollywood Golden Age (movie debut in or before 1950). Have a look at this list and you'll notice some absences and not the least prestigious ones. Granted it was a difficult, if not impossible, task to satisfy all the fans who wished their favorite stars could be in, some non-inclusions are quite surprising and rather infuriating. As strange as it sounds, none of these 25 gentlemen made it in the Top 25 and there's no denial that they are icons from the classic era. Which of these actors' absence do you find the most (unpleasantly) surprising? After voting, you might discuss the list here (to stay faithful to the spirit of the original list, character actors or actors used to play supporting roles weren't included, sorry fans of Peter Lorre or Walter Brennan)

Initials and Last Names (Movie Characters)
Too long, too embarrassing, even too gender-biased: for various reasons, some characters' first names are kept unknown from the general public so the characters are mainly identified by two initials plus their last name. Oscar Nominees at the Age of 31
As IMDb gets older, the number of Oscar winners and nominees of the same age gets higher and higher, to give you an idea, in two years, we've gained more than 20 entries. And this is why for the second (and certainly not the last) time, the celebration of IMDb's 31st Anniversary will be made into two separate lists. So here's the first list of performances that earned their actors and actresses an Oscar nomination on the year of their 31st birthday. Which of these performances (ranked chronologically) would you consider your favorite? After the vote, you might discuss the list here (oh, and the * refers to a supporting role) As usual, it's very likely that the actor/actress might not have turned 31 (or 32) before the actual date of the ceremony, but using the same convention as for the last six editions, the age 31 is simply the result of a simple subtraction of years. Best Boris Karloff Character?
2019 marked the 100th anniversary of Boris Karloff's film debut. His first appearance in The Lightning Raider (1919) would be the beginning of a long career that would include 207 titles, including posthumous roles. Karloff would grow to become one of the icons of horror cinema, but his work extended in several genres and he remains one of the most recognizable faces of classic cinema. 2019 also marks the 50th anniversary of Karloff's death. To honor Boris Karloff in this double anniversary, which do you consider his best character? Discuss Here

Which Actor Is the Pride of Ireland?
In 2020, the Irish Times took up the daunting task of compiling an all-time list of the best Irish film actors. They factored questions of star wattage, career longevity, national identity and weighted performance in film over television and theater. The final results yielded 50 undeniably great actors, 28 men and 22 women. While, one may nitpick about the actual order or the inclusion or exclusion of stars in the last few spots. The list is a solid snapshot in time and there is likely no better judge of the best Ireland has to offer.
