Best sci-fi movie from outside the USA?
It is not that hard to keep track of the American must-see sci-fi movies, even if there are quite a few. It is more difficult, however, to keep yourself informed about the sci-fi gems from other countries. What would be the best sci-fi movie that is not made in the USA? Rules: 1) The IMDB score has to be at least 7. 2) If there is more than one country where the movie was made, the USA cannot be among them. That is why there is no Alien or 2001: A Space Odyssey. Best Andrei Tarkovsky Film
Quite possible the most influential and famous director of Russian cinema, coupled with Eisenstein. He later moved to Sweden for his final two films, even working with legendary cinematographer Sven Nykvist.
