Poll: Find Carmen Now!
The world famous computer game, television show, and animated show thief, Carmen Sandiego is at it again! It is up to you, intrepid detectives, to do two things. 1) (for fun) figure out where she is and 2) of which of these following crimes she most likely will commit! All we got for clues are these vague rumors and image references to movies. Some think that this a diabolical plot to trick people to interact with the IMDb to read the movie summaries for clues to figure out where Carmen is. Perish the thought! No one is that devious. (Yes, I am.) Which crime is Carmen most likely to pull? In case you have heard any other rumors about where she is, report them here. (You have to go here for the answers too. Just make sure to report rumors with lots of clues, location of the crime, and an object to be stolen. Also, the stolen object must be so silly and outlandish that it couldn’t be possibly stolen in real life, like the smile off the Mona Lisa‘s face; so therefore, we are not encouraging a real life crime. (It is called being socially responsible.)

She was in the center of crowd as the horses raced around her in the first of the two annual races of Il Palio di ******, and was attempting to steal the horse shoes off the horses, when she saw James Bond emerging from a sewer near her. She’d tried to pickpocket him but he was moving too fast. After all Bond is a challenge to her. What city is she in? The horses race around people watching the race. (Sadly, the first of the two races this year was canceled because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Let’s hope the 2nd one runs in August (I think).) -

And the town’s motel, the Cozy Cone reminds her of the Wigwam Motel in San Bernardino, Ca which is on the same road Carmen plans on stealing, the mother road, Route 66. Carmen Sandiego was sighted on the Mark Twain Riverboat that is docked in a town on the Mississippi River, that is not named after the psychopath in The Silence of the Lambs (1991), but is known as the boyhood home of Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Becky Thatcher, Jim and ghost tours. She was overheard talking to Duke and King, “Even though this town is rich in targets to steal, like Tom’s fence, the cave, the Mark Twain Lighthouse, and the riverboat wheel in the Mark Twain Museum, I guess with the recent rash of toppling statues and defacing memorials, I guess I better steal the statue of Tom and Huck in order to safeguard it!” (Who would have guessed that Carmen was socially responsible!?!) And since Gnomes are known to roam, especially in Rome, Phileas, take the Gnome on one of your special trips. And Jules, you document every stop. And return here and place him on top of the Eiffel Tower with a Jules book detailing everywhere the gnome went and send a letter to Amelie and Nino where to find him. (Based on the suggestion by BonaFideBOSS) while on his mission to return the Infinity Stones to their true owners, the Living Tribunal instructed Steve Rogers (Captain America) to work with Carmen Sandiego to steal the cocoon encasing Adam Warlock, the true owner of the Soul Stone, from this guy’s place. Where is Carmen? (The cocoon was shown in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), but the IMDb doesn’t have a picture of it or this character in the picture for that film. It was the big green thing. P.S. in the comics, it was Adam Warlock who first takes the Infinity Gauntlet away from Thanos, not Captain America, and then latter gets encased in a cocoon. The movies got it backwards) -

Acme’s ace detective, BonaFideBOSS reports Carmen Sandiego was seen in a restaurant in city that is not Los Angles, California but it is in the same valley in a town that shares the same name of that valley. She was reported as switching the briefcase that Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield was bringing back to Marsellus Wallace which contains his most prized possession. Carmen was rumored as being curious as to what it was. She opened up the case, and held up a small plastic prop from another movie and read a gift tag to it that said, “To biggest fan, from Ralphie, and remember to drink more Ovaltine!” Carmen was rumored to say, “I can’t believe this is Marsellus’ most prized possession. Most people would want the leg lamp or the Red Ryder Range 200 Shot BB gun!” Where is Carmen Sandiego and what was Marsellus prized possession?
