Most Family Friendly of the Horror Comedy Genre

In the bonus material to my copy of The Ghost Breakers (1940), screenwriter Larry Karaszewski said that while he and Scott Alexander were writing the screenplay for Goosebumps (2015), they wanted to write a family friendly horror comedy hybrid. They had looked for a movie with the right balance to use as their inspiration, and to get it right. He said that he was surprised how few they were, and that they had to go back to the Abbott and Costello films and others. (The ones he mentioned by name are marked by an *. The Abbott and Costello films are marked by **.) Using that as a starting point, and no “R” rated films on this list, and “PG13” is borderline, which of these films from the horror comedy genre is the most family friendly, or, in other words, would you show a 5 yr old without scaring him half to death? If you got one to suggest that is not “R” rated or worse, but is horror comedy genre that is family friendly, (check the keywords), offer them here for consideration.

Quotable Fantasy Classics

Most fantasy films are remembered for the splendor of their special effects, their heart-pounding action sequences, the enchantment they provide for children from 6 to 60 or the durability of a saga that made the audience grow with the characters. These standalone fantasy classics are as enduring as any "franchise" (trilogies and beyond) but it's fair to say that what makes them so memorable is how damn quotable they are. Which of these fantasy classics would you say is the most quotable? After voting, you might discuss the list here (trilogies or franchises aren't included because they're not quotable but because it would be either unfair to put them in the same balance of judgment with stories that have only "one" cinematic offering or difficult to pick which opus of the saga is the most quotable to be considered the right representative)

Let’s Tangle With the Tango

Which film has the best dance of the Tango? And to be fair, there must be a video of the dance to each film entry so you can judge them properly. And if the Tango has you tangled up, untie yourself here. (Yes, that line contained a play on words reference from one of the lines in the movies listed here.) if you want to suggest one, you have to give a link to the dance in that movie in order to be considered. (WARNING: IMHO, the two Rudolph Valentino ones are going to be hard to beat. That Tango in The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921) still holds up today.)

Which is the best series comprising only 2 films?

Often times when a film gets a sequel it becomes a full blown franchise. (Often at least a trilogy) But here is the sets of films where they (at least for now) have only gotten one further installment for one reason or another. So this is just to see which duo of films is considered the best. Remember, these are all films that are supposed to bet set in the same continuity. Some of them for instance are being considered to be rebooted and the like. And also remember that you're supposed to take into account your feelings for both films in each set, whether you like one of the films or not. As this is a test of the films' accumulative strength against the other films duos.

Favorite 60s Sitcom

From Wikipedia- A situation comedy, or sitcom, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. This form can also include mockumentaries.
