Twin films are movies with similar plots or themes developed by different studios at the same time. Some of these movies result from capitalizing on the timely relevance based on recent events or an anniversary. Other projects are the product of a script being shopped at different studios at the same time. Finally, some films are purposefully developed to piggyback and capitalize off the big budgeted marketing efforts of a competing studio. Whatever the reason, the result is usually a mad rush to be the first studio to release their film version in theaters. The Sherman Brothers were an American songwriting duo that specialized in musical films, made up of brothers Robert B. Sherman (1925 – 2012) and Richard M. Sherman (born 1928). Together they received various accolades including 2 Academy Awards and 3 Grammy Awards. In 1976 they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Sherman Brothers wrote more motion-picture musical song scores than any other songwriting team in film history. Among their most famous works are the theme park songs There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow and It's A Small World (After All).
