AFI's Unlisted Hollywood Male Legends
A few years ago, the American Film Institute unveiled its Top 25 actors of the 20th century, male legends who graced the silver screen during Hollywood Golden Age (movie debut in or before 1950). Have a look at this list and you'll notice some absences and not the least prestigious ones. Granted it was a difficult, if not impossible, task to satisfy all the fans who wished their favorite stars could be in, some non-inclusions are quite surprising and rather infuriating. As strange as it sounds, none of these 25 gentlemen made it in the Top 25 and there's no denial that they are icons from the classic era. Which of these actors' absence do you find the most (unpleasantly) surprising? After voting, you might discuss the list here (to stay faithful to the spirit of the original list, character actors or actors used to play supporting roles weren't included, sorry fans of Peter Lorre or Walter Brennan)

Little Miss Sunshine Face-Off: Moonee vs. Olive
Summer is here, in the northern hemisphere, but these two characters, Olive and Moonee, are on film to provide sunshine all year round. With dysfunction all around them, they move full steam ahead with their innocence and shiny optimism. Olive is the protagonist from 'Little Miss Sunshine,' and Moonee, the heroine of 'The Florida Project,' lives in the official "sunshine state" and if any child could embody that banner for the state, it would be her. Which of these unstoppable, brave, and sweet little girls do you think spreads the most sunshine to cinema? After voting, feel free to discuss here.

True American Movie Icons
Celebrating the 4th of July, here's a list of characters who represented a little more than the heroic side of their respective movies; they became symbols of what generally make American heroes shine in and beyond the national borders: idealism, persistence, coolness, bravery and a little je-ne-sais-quoi that make us (foreigners) wish for a while that we could belong to the same place. Which of these American Icons is your number one pick? After voting, you might discuss the list here
