Movies I Wish Roger Ebert Reviewed

During his final years, legendary four-star critic Roger Ebert became both more prolific and selective: he reviewed movies he wished to see, but it didn't diminish the quantitative value of his writings just as disease and a permanent loss of voice didn't diminish their qualitative merit. You could agree or disagree with him, you would always enjoy his writing. Thumbs down on that sad day of April 4, 2013 when Ebert left the world, an unparalleled legacy and also a taste of deception because we knew there were many great movies and classics to come, movies he would have enjoyed, some even more at the twilight of his life, movies from directors he respected and admired... but that he would never review, forever. Which of these movies released less than a year after his death or at his lifetime but that (strangely enough) he didn't review, would you have most loved to see reviewed by the late Roger Ebert? After voting, you might discuss the list here (this poll adresses those who liked to know Ebert's take on a film before or after watching it, not everyone was or is still addicted to his website, if that's the case, the last option is for you)

IMDb Poll Board: Happy Ending

"Cowboys don't cry, and heroes don't die. Good always wins, again and again. And love is a sweet dream, that always comes true. Oh if life were like the movies, I'd never be blue" ("Here In The Real World" by Alan Jackson) Life is full of disappointments, heartbreaks, shattered dreams, and more than anything, the painful realization, that the real life is not a fairy tale, and it's not always end with, "and they lived happily ever after". Movies allow us to escape from our daily life, and remind us, that in spite of everything, there is a hope for humanity. Which of these happy movie endings is your favorite? The Hollywood Tentpole (2005-2015)

In past decade as Hollywood tentpole* films have been over-prevalent, which of these tentpole projects BEST shows that Hollywood can still put out high quality material with originality** and intelligence? Suggestions welcome at Poll Suggestion Thread! *A tentpole film is a high-budget feature film by a major studio (WB, Fox, Sony, Universal, Disney) meant to ensure high box office profits with mass promotion, wide international release on a single date or in a close period with possible 3D, Thursday showings and trilogy/franchise screenings. **Originality is not restricted to being an "original film." Originality can mean aspects of story, craft and cinematic significance. Remember, Stanley Kubrick is considered one of the most original filmmakers of all time and every single one of his classic films is an adaptation of a novel. Note: The criteria for the selected films beyond "tentpole" definition is that the critical and audience consensus be at least fairly positive in the IMDb, audience, fanbase and critical communities as a general consensus. My personal feelings about any of these films are NOT a factor.
